  Hi, I recieved a mail from wordpress telling me that my account will no longer be free and that I will have to pay €26+€48? I guess that is since I use an individual domain name and that is now a personal account for which wordpress charges €4,- per month (=€48,- per year)? But what is the €26,- for? On the other hand I see that wordpress offers a livelong free wordpress-subdomain. Can I change to that option?

  Hi there!

  Going forward, WordPress.com plans and domains will be billed separately. However, if you renew your plan before December 18, you will be able to renew for one more (or two, depending on the fact if you choose to renew for an year or two) year without paying extra for the domain.

  Else, when your plan renews, you will have to pay for plan + domain.

  Sure, you can indeed do that – let us know if you’d like to proceed with it. Do note that once canceled, there’s no guarantee you’d be able to get the domain back. Is that ok?
