being added to the wordpress blogroll
-
I noticed that if I label something with blogroll and click on it within my post it brings me to a wordpress page with a bunch of posts of other users that also labeled their posts w/blogroll. However, mine do not show up there. Is there something I need to do so that my posts will be included on that page?

Typically I don’t think people use the blogroll category on posts, but only on their links that they put in their sidebar.

It sounds like you are using “Blogroll” as a category for your posts, although as TSP explained, the correct use for Blogroll is as a list of links to sites you regularly visit and/or wish to “advertise” on your blog in the sidebar. If you use “Blogroll” as a category on your posts, it will behave just like any other category here on WP.com and bring you to WP.com’s page where other blogs who used the same category are listed.
As far as your post showing up on that WP.com page, there are usually quite a number of pages to that WP.com category page, but I don’t have a clue what the ranking is on that page or why they appear in a certain order.

The way categories are displayed on the wordpress.com tag pages is in accord with the original publication date/timestamp. As many bloggers are publishing every minute then in the “popular” or “trendy” categories we find our posts are quickly pushed to the second, third and fourth pages under the category.
Check your privacy settings first. -> Options -> Privacy
The first option below should be marked if you want your posts to appear on the tag pages.Privacy Options
Blog visibility: ___ I would like my blog to appear in search engines like Google and Sphere, and in public listings around WordPress.com.
___I would like to block search engines, but allow normal visitors
___I would like my blog to be visible only to users I chooseProvided your blog is is set to the first option and you have carefully examined the wordpress.com tag pages and cannot find your blog posts, then you will need staff help.
Best wishes for a happy ending. :)

I use Blogroll as a category, and tick it each time I link to someone in my blogroll. It’s a sort of name for a virtual community, to my way of thinking.
