@dribblingpensioner Is this matter only occurring when you land on a blog with a custom domain ?
Because I ran into the problem last year from time to time where my admin bar would not show up and I was required to log in how ever this issue only ocurred when I would visit a blog with a custom domain for example (example.com) Instead of (example.wordpress.com)
If the above example is the case I recommend contacting staff if the above example is not the case I recommend trying another browser to see if the issue still occurs again if it doesn’t then it may be a plugin or extension or browser setting interfering…

They are only WordPress sites, if i vist 20 sites i could be asked to log in with about 4 of them.
I have been on my site for 30 minutes when i came here to the topic i was asked to log in.
This has happened before so its not a new thing.

@dribblingpensioner
Wordpress.com free hosts blogs on .wordpress.com subdomains. They also those who have purchased their own domains.What sl1k is asking is you is:
1. are the site you are experiencing this on .wordpress.com subdomains like your blog .(look at the URL) > http://dribblingpensioner.wordpress.com/2. or are the sites on domains like mine (look at the URL) http://onecoolsite.wordpress.com
-
3. Now when you click that .wordpress.com subdomain URL for my blog it is being domain mapped to my domain and the URL is http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com
-
Thanks TT i will check and let you both know.
Looking at the two url’s the only difference i can see is the back slash after com in mine.

Wordpress.com is the top level domain.

My blog is on a domain and dows not have the .wordpress.com sugdomain URL it has the .com URLWhat sl1k is asking is you is:
1. are the sites you are experiencing this on .wordpress.com subdomains (do they have .wordpress.com in their URLs)2. or are the sites on domains with .com, .ca, .net etc.? that are being hosted by WordPress.com like my blogs are?
