Being charged on free account

    Hi there

    I had a notification on my bank account that I would be charged from WordPress for £114. However, I am on a free plan and with no domain so I shouldn’t have been charged.

    Can I get help to understand what the charge was for and what I can do to remove/refund the unwanted charge?

It is possible the charge is associated with a different email address or a separate WordPress.com account you might have created in the past.How to investigate this:

    • Check your Purchases page: You can see all official purchases made under your current account here: Manage Purchases. If the list is empty, the charge is likely linked to a different account.
    • Send a Screenshot: Please send over a screenshot of the bank notification or statement showing the charge. This will help us track down the transaction via the unique billing details provided by your bank.
