being rejected from ‘liking’ posts and comments today, have experienced this in the past as well

  Why is WordPress rejecting my ability to ‘like’ on sites, even when I’ve just commented there.

  I Do Not need help with my blog.

  I need help for why WordPress doesn’t process when I click “like” on other blogs, even after they posted my comment on that blog.

  I’m not amused. WordPress is playing with the words I typed in, making assumptions and presumptions instead of listing my request.

  I checked your account, and we’re not blocking your ability to like posts.

  This could be an issue in your browser – either the code the Like button needs to work isn’t loading properly, or else the network request isn’t making it through to us.

  Please clear your browser cache, and if you’re using any browser add-ons, temporarily disable those to see if that makes any difference. Also make sure your browser allows JavaScript:

  https://wordpress.com/en/support/browser-issues/

  Can you also log in using incognito/private mode, and/or check if your like goes through if you log in with a completely different browser?

  If none of that works, let us know, and please also include a link to the post you’re trying to leave a like on.

  Thank you kokkieh, I cleared all 17 items off my cache and was able to like the comment that I’d written about.
  Then I went to comment on another blog and couldn’t get a response to my efforts to move around within the webpage.
  So, it must have something to do with my computer. I’m not sure what to do.
  Thanks again for the advice. The next time I’ll try incognito.
  I’ll perhaps try another browser.

  Do you mean the menu/links are unresponsive when you click them? Can you share a link to the site so I can check if it might be the site in this case?

  A caching issue could cause problems with features powered by JavaScript code, like the Like button, but links being unresponsive isn’t a typical browser issue. Still, no harm in checking if it works in incognito, or using another browser.
