Being seen
-
I am a newbie blogger and as my page is seasonal i want people to see it as soon as possible. Not sure if i am doing things correctly, do I just wait until someone sees me??
-
-
this is my problem too. i don’t know if my blog really exists. the error page pops up sometimes. im just new here. so i’m not sure if im on the right track..
-
@mikedimaano; your blog works fine for me.
@mrscookschristmas, you could advertise your blog, and there are various tutorials that you can find all over the internet.
-
Most particularly, this forum has several hundred, if not over a thousand tips. Try a google search and into the search box type “hits” or “readers” or whatever term you want, plus “site:en.forums.wordpress.com”
So the entire contents of the search box look like:
hits site:en.forums.wordpress.com
That will give you the most comprehensive search.

@mrscookschristmas-We would be able to help better if you’d provide a link to your WordPress.COM blog, starting with http://

Well, depending on if you have forum accounts, or other websites etc. you could put links to your blog there. Another way to get your blog around is to comment on other people’s blogs, because most of the time they’ll comment back.
And yes, it would be a lot easier if you actually provided the link, so people could go to your blog. You can go to Dashboard -> Users -> Your Profile and fill in the “website” box so your blog will be linked to your name :)
-
If you want publicity for your blog, the very LAST thing you should do is hide the link. Link it to your name.

Link it to your name.
This means follow the instructions in the sticky, 8 Things, at the top of the forum.

Thank you for all your help. I will read the forums etc.
I am pleased to say i have had a couple of comments so that is a start!
