Being texted link to change my pw but I didn't ask to change pw

  Over the past 2 weeks I am being texted a code # to change my pw. I did not ask to change my pw. However, I did change it but I am wondering why I continue to have this link texted to me? Is someone trying to hack my blog?

  It’s possible. It’s also possible someone’s trying to change your password but they mistakenly think it’s their site.

  Just for safety, change your password into something hard(er) to guess.

  Whenever you get another text message and you didn’t request a change, you can just ignore it.

  I have received 3 of them this week alone! I did not request to change my pw. I think someone is trying to get into my blog. I did change it to something harder, but what can I do on my site to stop them? Do they have my email address do you think?

  Go to your email program and change the password to a very difficult one because that’s how many hackers gain access to blogs. Never use the same password on your email account and your blog.

  1.Go here > Users > All Users and delete any user that does not belong there.

  2. Disable post by email > http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-email/

  3. Disable post by voice > http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-voice/

  4. Change your blog password to a very difficult one > http://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/#change-your-password

  5. Use a secure, encrypted connection to connect to your Dashboard. Under Users → Personal Settings, check the box that says “Always use HTTPS when visiting administration pages, and click Save Changes.

  6. Set up two step authentication http://en.support.wordpress.com/security/two-step-authentication/

  Thank you so much. I knew I could count on you. It is the craziest thing and I don’t even know why someone would want to access what I have to say anyway!
  I thought I had done my due diligence but there is always someone who decides to be a bad apple.
