Benefits of upgrading wordpress domain

  I upgraded my blog to a custom domain (fitinspire.net) – does this now mean I can integrate affiliate links (e.g Amazon)? If so, how do I do this?

  Or am I only permitted to add individual affiliate links for occasional products I promote on my blog?

  Hi there,

  You can indeed post Amazon Associates links within your blog as long as the links are relevant to the context of what you’re writing about and to the overall theme of your blog itself. In short, you cannot just create a blog which is designed to stuff as many affiliate links as possible into it, as that is specifically against our Terms of Service.

  Are there any other ways to monetise blogs on wordpress? I have submitted a request for WordAds – do you have any idea on the requirements or selection process for this?

  Those are the two which we currently allow. If you’re looking for additional ways to pull money out of your blogging (which we certainly understand), then you might want to think about going with a self-hosted WordPress.org blog. Since those blogs are not within our network, you are free to do with them as you will as long as they are within the terms and conditions of your hosting company.
