  To do what exactly? I would tell you check lorelle.wordpress.com, she gets very comprehensive in a lot of stuff, but I could be way off. What are you looking to do really?

  I have that link and yes it is helpful, I was hoping to read a little wider on the general topic of building and maintaining blogs, thanks.

  It could just be me, but I don’t think I fully grasp what you want to do. Building blogs meaning your own CMS or your own theme? Is it that you want to make your own theme from scratch or learn enough to edit current themes? I think what you might want is to learn CSS. You can find books on it online, such as the “…For Dummies” series, or get help online at http://www.w3schools.com Hope that helps, if only a little.

  Hi, content and layout in the content design context of the word layout, design is what I was asking of and again, lorelle does do it well though there must be more.

  Ah, well, what you need is to learn CSS, ultimately. I guess now what you’re asking about is something more than Lorelle? I guess I can’t help you out too much, but in terms of blogs, I suppose you can check out http://www.5thirtyone.com and http://www.pearsonified.com so I don’t appear too useless :p

  I would say that it very much depends on the end product that you’re hoping for. So…what is that? What kind of a blog do you want to build?

  More interested in content style guidance re: planning content etc not of a particular nature and willing to read widely.

  Do you mean you are looking for subject suggestions, or information theory? How meta do you want to get with this?

  If you’re building a blog for the readers rather than for self-expression, I suggest you poll them on what they want, or find out your demographic and research their interests.
