Best editor for WP

Hi,
I’m a beginner trying to find the best tool to create WP sites.
I started out with purchasing DIVI, which I found to be very limited in regards to design and effect options. I wasn’t able to create anything nice, without constantly turning to custom css, which is not something I know a great deal about.
I then tried Slider Revolution. Loved it to begin with. I created some really good looking sites with nice effects. It had all the flexibility I was looking for and it was rather easy to use, but the performance is terrible and it has too many bugs. Great effects and templates that just doesn’t play smooth IRL.
I dont want to keep spending money on editors, just to find that it’s not what I’m looking for.
I’d really appreciate some suggestions on a safe choice for creating wp sites.

?? By “editor” do you mean theme? This WordPress.com account you are currently using is only 30 minutes old. Here there are many free or Premium themes to choose from (that you can see demos of) here: https://wordpress.com/themes. Themes found elsewhere on the Interweb are meant for the WordPress.org software but can be used here at WordPress.com by upgrading to the Business plan.

I always thought Divi was a theme. Slider Rev sounds like a plugin. As you don’t seem to be referring to your new WordPress.com site you may get more help asking for advice in the WordPress.org forums. https://wordpress.org/support/

My understanding, divi is an editor created as a theme, slider rev is an editor created as a plugin.
