Best free wordpress.com sites for PhD student/Academic personal website?

  Hello, I was wondering if any of you could point me to a particular theme or a particular site using a particular theme that I could use to create a wordpress.com site for my job market materials. I realize wordpress.org offers far more beautiful and customizable themes, but for now I’m hoping to stick with wordpress.com…Mainly I want something that’s minimalist (like some of the “writer/blogging” themes but more structured to organize such academic things as teaching pages, research pages, publication pages, syllabi, videos, etc.

  Any help is much appreciated.

  You have almost 200 free themes here – just filter on free and take a look – the preview now has a better look than a few years back but burns some bandwidth
