Best Javascript Lightbox/popup window plugin
-
Hi all,
I have a footer menu. I’d like to add an option for users to enter their email addresses and “subscribe.”
In the href link, I’d like to link to a Javascript Function that opens a lightbox.
So the user would click “subscribe,” it’d open a lightbox window, allow a user to enter email, submit email, and then they would still be on the same page.
Is there a WordPress plugin available to do this or do I have to code this from scratch?
Thanks.

Hi there,
For sites hosted on WordPress.com, there is the Follow Blog Widget to achieve similar functionality according to your requirement, i.e. visitor enters their email addresses to subscribe to your blog’s update and they’ll remain on the same page after they clicked the subscribe button.
FYI, JavaScript is not allowed on WordPress.com sites due to the security measure. If you must use JavaScript on your WordPress.com site, the only way is to upgrade it to the Business Plan and use a custom theme to add the JavaScript LightBox.
However, if you’re referring to the self-hosted WordPress site, we’re unable to help you since this forum is meant for sites hosted on WordPress.com.
