Best Theme for a Story–Type-Blog

  I would like to create a blog to tell a story through words, pictures, music (I
  have the publishing rights for this music) and video. I would like to set it up
  like a book with bi-weekly/monthly chapters that tell the story. I see this as a
  little different than a blog of daily thoughts and opinions. This is more
  chronological.

  I’m totally new to this and need some suggestions as to the best theme to
  get me started.

  My reply is not in regard to themes. It is in regard to structure. Rather than retaining conventional blog structure in any theme and having posts display in reverse chronological order with the most recent post on top we can choose to have a book-like structure. Consequently, there is no best theme that I would suggest, aside from saying that if you are creating a custom menu that IMHO themes that do have a horizontal menu are the best choices to make.

  Wow, I guess the forums really are the best way to figure stuff out.

  So in ‘new-guy’ lay terms, theme is somewhat irrelevant, rather, most themes can be structured in a ‘chapter’ format much like a book. Great.

  Do you know if any themes will limit or enhance my ability to post music/pictures or video?

  There are over 130 themes and I do know them quite well. None prevent the posting of images or videos. I don’t ever volunteer to suggest a theme for someone else as what’s attractive and functional and has the features desired are unique to each individual. I send everyone to the Theme Showcase where they can use the searchbox for features to filter their choices. :)
