Best Theme for Travel Blog

What theme does “On The Luce” use? It is a really well done blog. What is the best theme for a travel blog? I want to have Opt-In, and eventually be able to support advertising. Some folks have suggested Thrive Themes. But they only have ten to choose from and only one looks sort of workable as a travel blog.
Any suggestions? Advice? Recommendations?

I visited http://www.ontheluce.com/ and see that it’s running a theme called Foodie, which is a child theme of Genesis.
We don’t offer that theme on WordPress.com — you’d need a self-hosted site to run it — but here are a couple of two-column themes that have similar elements:
