best theme for widgets

  I’m not clear whether all widgets can be used with all themes. If they can’t, then is there a good generic theme that is recommended?

  I was hoping for a widget that was basically a calendar widget with events. Is there any such widget? If not, I guess the best way to do it is a text widget? Agreed?

  There isn’t a widget here that does calender events. The calender widget that we do have just displays your post history for those dates. As to a recommendation, it depends on where you’re pulling your calender information from. I know we’ve discussed an event calender in the past and most solutions have been javascript and those are banned for security reasons.

  As to a good generic theme, that’s pretty much up to you depending on what you like. Engtech did some reviews a while back that you may want to look other.

  Maybe what I need is a two column blog. One large column for main information and then a second smaller column that I can update with events. Is there anything like that?

  A three-column theme with two sidebars may be a good choice for you. Perhaps you should try Andreas09 or Fadtastic.
  => Dashboard => Presentation = > Themes

  Note that you can change themes as many times as you want and no data will be lost.
