Best way to add word doc to site

    What is the best way to add a word doc to my WordPress site?
    1. Via a link to the doc in the Media Library or
    2. Via link to word doc dropped on a hidden page on my WordPress site (by hidden, I mean that the only thing visible on my site is a name linked to this page)

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
