Best way to have a forum on my site?

Hi there,
I am wanting to host a forum on my site. I want it so that it can be at http://tubbycraft.com/forums/ or something similar. I basically want to keep the domain name. I want to install the plugin “bbPress”, but I am not on WordPress.org. I am using WordPress.com. What would be the best way for me to setup a forum? I have the domain “tubbycraft.com” hosted with WordPress.com. Please help me!

You can’t embed a Forum in your site – you can link to an outside forum – use a custom menu to set the link to your forum up.

Thanks, but I went to that link and don’t really understand what you want me to do. If I make a forum form a third party website and link to my WordPress.com blog, it won’t have the domain name registered with the blog! How would I link the two so they work together seamlessly? Like so:
1. I click the “forums” link on my WordPress.com blog.
2. I get to a page that looks something like: “http://tubbycraft.com/forums/Thanks again,

You need to go to the outside forum – I have never worked with the forums but look on the forums and see if they have some sort of domain mapping option to get your a bit more integration than tubbycraft.some-free-forum.com. I would be amazed if they do not have some way to use part of your domain name –
Sorry can’t be much more help, but the forum issue comes up several times a week and that is why I saved the link to the four forums so that at least you did not need to start from scratch.

I looked on ProBoards and FreeForums and they both offer some type of domain mapping so I would expect the other two forums to offer the same option. The fine print on the domain mapping seems to be a bit hidden, so I don’t have anymore info than some sort of mapping is possible.

Thank you very much. I have found a forum in which I can use my domain. I do not want to register http://tubbycraft.com/ as my domain, however. If I create a page on my blog called “forums”, so it makes a URL called http://tubbycraft.com/forums/, can I use that URL as the domain for the forum host?

Thanks, but here’s a better explanation of what I want to do:
I already have a WordPress blog with the domain http://tubbycraft.com/.
I also have a forum. The forum link is weird like this: http://forum.forumotion.com/
I want to put the forum onto my WordPress blog, but make it do that the forum link is like this: http://forum.tubbycraft.com/
How would I do this?

A custom menu allows you to display Categories with drop-downs to sub-categories in tabs along the horizontal navigation where normally only Pages tabs are displayed. If you wish you can also include Pages with drop-downs to sub-pages and/or custom links in your custom menu as well. You are in charge of what appears in a custom menu. If you have a WordPress.com-mapped domain (any domain with nameservers pointing to us), then you can use the Edit DNS feature to add subdomains that point to outside services.

The forum you created has a URL and that’s the only URL it can have. The URL is irrelevant to anyone who is on the blog itself as you create a custom menu and in it your include that link. The result will be a Forum tab in the horizontal menu along with Home

I knew that but it slipped my mind.
Mapping a subdomain with the Domain Mapping Upgrade costs $12.00 per subdomain, per blog, per year.

But I want the URL to have forum.tubbycraft.com when the menu is clicked. Is this even possible?
