Best Way to Present Audio
-
I am creating a web site for our church. In addition to the informational pages, I want to create a page where folks can listen to sermons (which I have uploaded to our media library). Is there a nice way for me to do this? I have tried using the [audio] shortcode. But it is clunky and does not display the title of the audio until it plays (and I have to provide a parameter in the shortcode for that to happen). Any suggestions as to the best way to present our audio library (in a way that can be maintained and updated by a non-programmer). Thank you.

I would like to publish the audio on our site and have people access it on our site, not having to go to iTunes or elsewhere. However, the material was interesting. Thanks for replying. Still looking for a solution that stays on my site.

Does this help?
You can share audio on your WordPress.com blog in a variety of ways. Note that, if you wish to upload audio files from your own computer, you will need to purchase the Space Upgrade. Please refer to our documentation on which specific audio files types can be uploaded to WordPress.com with this upgrade. http://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/

I have the space upgrade and have been uploading audio to my media library. I just want a neat and easy way to present this material to viewers of our site. Right now, if I insert an audio, it does not give the audio file title, but just puts up a big cluncky grey player.

I’m sorry I have no further information or assistance I can provide. However, when you say you get no title and only the player that makes me think you are using a post format http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-formats/ If you edit the post and select “standard” there will be a title and you can add text and assign categories to the post as well.
