Better Blogroll

Howdy,I just morphed over to WordPress from blogspot.com recently and almost all features are better but your blogroll(Links) feature seems a little underdeveloped. While on blogspot, the blogs continuously rearrange themselves, making the blogs with the newest posts appear first so that I know which blogs have new posts as they appeared with the time interval since their last update.I still have to use my old blog to see which blogs have new posts as on wordpress, the blogroll is merely a list. So please, take a look and see whether you can add that feature.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That’s an interesting feature and I would certainly like to give it a try as long as it honored my link categories and did each section separately, and was something that could be turned off by the user if they didn’t want it.

I would suggest sending this request directly into staff via the support link so that they make sure and get it onto their feature request list: http://support.wordpress.com/contact/ .

Thanks, I shall give it a try, couldn’t find the right link.

You’re welcome. It is also available in the dashboard under the “help” tab > support > contact support. It takes a few clicks to get there, but that is another way.

I had tried looking in the Dashboard after reading it as an option somewhere but it didn’t appear there, something to do with the weekend I think, but it was plain old Wednesday in India where I live so I don’t really know why it didn’t appear.
I did mail them and I got a mail back saying it’s been added to their list of suggestions but I don’t know how long it will be if ever before they act. If you want to see how it works you could head over to blogspot.com
Also, I think it’s really cool that you spend your time volunteering and answering us hapless bloggers’ queries.

One option is to re-publish the RSS feeds of your blog roll members thru google reader. Then use the RSS widget in WordPress to post the google reader feed. The result will be a list of blog posts by date.
