bifurcating categories

  Hi have read almost every post, suggestion, question about categories but unfortunately I havent received an answer to my question. I want to bifurcate my categories so that they each appear as seperate widgets (with the posts related to it as a blogroll under it) on my home page is that possible? Also is possible for me categorize my posts under two broad categories and have them appear with both simultaneously?
