Big Black Banner

Hi All,
Been reading a lot in these forums already and feel lucky with all the great advice.JUST starting out with my new theme BUENO though and wondering where the heck the big black header/banner at the top showing my categories is coming from. Have looked eveywhere and doesn’t seem like any of my widgets are pointing up there so what the heck?

The site you linked to is not hosted on WordPress.com. This is the support forum for sites hosted on WordPress.com. If you are referring to a self-hosted WordPress.org install, then you will have to seek help at the correct support forum, which is http://wordpress.org/support/

Sorry for the confusion. I purchase the WordPress for Joomla module so I can manage my wordpress account from there. Super confused that there are two now because I assumed that directly linked to you guys since I download themes, etc. from inside there. So do I essentially have two accounts??Kerry

Here at WordPress.com there is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install individual plugins or third party themes into them. On free hosted wordpress.COM blogs we can only use the themes which have been coded to run on this multi-user software and made available to us here. > Appearance > Themes and no others.
There are two very different types of WordPress and different versions of themes by the same name are coded to run on wither one software or the other. Please go to the footer of your theme and locate this link and click it. Powered by WordPress. Your support must come from http://wordpress.org/support/ and you can create a username account there on the top right hand corner of that page.
