Many months ago I created a free WordPress blog brentmoshermusic and never did anything with it. Yesterday I decided to get serious and purchased a premium package with a domain and paid for theme (Soundcheck). I opened this new blog that got called brentmosher5 as I didn’t really understand what I was doing. Then, under this domain of brentmosher5, I also purchased the domain name brentmoshermusic for $20, thinking that this would rename my blog or WordPress would take me there as I indicated I wanted this to be my main page. Of course, brentmoshermusic was taken – by me months ago!
So…how can I get my newly purchased premium blog to be called brentmoshermusic? Can I delete my old free blog from months ago and take the name? Can I transfer my premium package and theme over to the old blog? Can I change the name of brentmosher5 to brentmoshermusic somehow?
I’m sorry…I made a mess of things.

Let’s get this straightened out for you!
Since your account with all of the upgrades is a different WordPress.com account from the other brentmoshermusic account, I’d need you to do a couple of things to verify ownership. With this account (brentmosher5), could you add your other user name as an administrator of your site via Users->invite New ( https://brentmosher5.wordpress.com/wp-admin/users.php?page=wpcom-invite-users ).
Then, after accepting and logging into the older account, add this account ( brentmosher5 ) as an administrator of the brentmoshermusic account?
Once done, I can transfer the upgrades between them.
Quick question – do you wish to keep your brentmosher5.com domain? We’re still within the time limit where we can cancel it and refund the extra money you spent for the other domain. If cancelled, we can’t undo it and it could be weeks until the domain name is available for purchase again.

Ok, I think I got it all done correctly. User name is brentmosher5 and domain/site name is brentmoshermusic.com. No I don’t want to use brentmosher5.com as a domain name, it can be cancelled and refunded. Thanks for the quick response and clear instructions!

I’m still having problems. When I sign in using “brentmosher5” I get taken to the brentmosher5.com blog page instead of brentmoshermusic.com. What should I be signing in as? How do I get to the brentmoshermusic.com blog page? Was everything transferred over to that domain name from brentmosher5.com? Was brentmosher5.com deleted as a domain and the fee refunded?PS
I just checked brentmoshermusic.com. It hasn’t changed, it’s still got the free format, not the Soundcheck format I purchased. I want brentmoshermusic.com to be the domain, under the username brentmosher5, and to have the Soundcheck format. As mentioned, I did everything you asked me to in your first reply.Hi again,

Were the transfers between the accounts made? Could you please let me know? As it stands, both sites are unchanged AFAIK.

The above four paragraphs are emails which I have sent over the past three days in response to your initial reply to my problem. Maybe you never received them, I don’t know. At any rate, as you can read, my site still isn’t working properly. Did you transfer my Soundcheck format over to brentmoshermusic.com? As it stands, I’m still being taken to brentmosher5.com when I sign in using brentmosher5 as my user name. again, I want brentmosher5 to be my user name, which should take me to brentmoshermusic.com with the Soundcheck format. I did everything you asked me to in your first response.

Hi Brent,
This response from 4 hours ago is the first response I’ve received. The notification e-mails about the response here can’t be replied to via e-mail, I believe, so that might be the cause for it.
It appears that you invited both accounts to be administrators of the other accounts, but the link that was sent via e-mail to each account to accept the invitation has not yet been clicked on (to actually accept the invitation). Can you find those e-mails and click the link within? Once that’s done, please respond here and we can transfer everything over.
I’ve cancelled brentmosher5.com and issued the refund.

Ok, I found the emails and clicked the accept buttons for both. I think I did that before though, so not sure why it didn’t take. Please let me know if it worked and if you transferred everything to brentmoshermusic. Thanks.
