Big Mess….to me, probably not to you.

    I am trying to transfer a blog to myself (i.e. another account I manage)

    I set up a blog for myself with WP to familiarize myself (emander) before setting up a blog for my business (dbargaragedoors), to then in hopes link said business blog to my already established WP website. (dbargaragedoors) I set up the biz blog (dbgd) without realizing I was still logged in as myself. (emander) I did not wish to manage that blog, I wanted to set up ANOTHER blog page independent!
    Tried to transfer blog to ‘Dotan’ (who is the username for my biz WP website) and now that blog page seems to be lost in the ether.

    PLEASE HELP! I don’t want to give up just as I start!

    What is the exact URL of the site you’re looking for? dbgd.wordpress.com does not exist, and never has.

    You are posting here as the username, emanderholyfield. This account owns one site, emanderholyfield.wordpress.com, and also transferred another site, dbargaragedoors.wordpress.com, to the username dotan.

    Your account has never owned any other sites.

    i started emanderholyfield.wordpress.com in hopes to learn how to’s of blogging and ultimately to start one for dbargaragedoors.com and link the blog to the website.

    I transferred that blog to username dotan thinking it would send to my wordpress website…which now does not seem likely and now I have no idea how to relocate that blog.

    Does that help explain my mistakes better? Any further help that can be offered here? I really appreciate it!

    Those domains are not registered nor hosted on WordPress.com. They don’t exist here.

    The site, dbargaragedoors.wordpress.com does exist on WordPress.com – that’s the one you transferred to dotan.

    dbargaragedoors.com is registered with Google. The name servers are pointing to SMART-AUTOGLASS.COM, which is not a web host, so I can only assume you’re pointing it to a site hosted on your own servers.

    dbar-garagedoors.com is registered with GoDaddy.com and hosted with Inmotionwebhosting.com

    As neither of those sites are on WordPress.com we can’t help with them, as we don’t have access to them. It’s also not possible to transfer either of them to a username on WordPress.com. For help with those sites you’ll need to contact their respective hosts.
