Bilingual blog option with a premium theme, plug ins not available

  Hello

  I use the Linen premium theme which I love however, my wish is to create a clean and reader friendly bilingual (German/English) blog and while looking into the subject I learned the easiest option would be to install a language switch plug in so the reader may switch each post´s language from a) to b).

  Now I learned that apparently plug ins cannot be installed on WordPress themes, is this correct? I have been looking for the plug in section on the sidebar and couldn’t find anything (unless I am missing it).

  I would not really want to create two seperate blogs. Putting both languages in each post does not look appealing to me either (too long and not user friendly). Creating a seperate post for each language (which I tried first) seems to overload the blog too. Sigh.

  What to do? Any suggestions, comments?

  We don’t allow plugins on WordPress.com for security reasons. Plugins are a feature only available for self-hosted blogs provided through WordPress.org. You can find out more about this topic here: http://support.wordpress.com/plugins/

  At this time, the only recommendation that I can make is to have a separate blog for each language.
