Billed for a website that doesn’t exist
-
Hey, I noticed I have had recurring $39 charges for Jetpack the last two years, after seeing a steep $77 charge to my checking account today. The url listed when I did the “Why was I charged” prompt doesn’t exist. Hasn’t for at least several years, a WHOIS history search states it ends in summer 2020, and I have an email from January 2020 confirming an askimet cancellation.
I don’t know how to find where this charge is coming from, you locked me out from “too many searches” as soon as I was about to search the previous year’s $39 charge. I logged into all of my wordpress.com accounts, and my one remaining live wordpress.org account (I had to contact my alma mater to get access to that account again)–none of them give me any access to a billing history that shows a live askimet/jetback billing history. Probably because I stopped hosting said websites in 2020 (inmotion emails to prove it).
I am curious how I can move this process forward. It would be ideal to get the old charges refunded, but I really just want that $77 dollars back. I have had to spend all day trying to track this down and I am just at the edge of tears.

Following up to say the reason the site doesn’t align with my account is that the domain has ceased to be. This email, I logged into to make this post, I believe was the one that I used for my old WordPress sites, likely the one used for the Jetpack subscription as well–but there’s no way of learning more, it seems I’ve hit a dead end.
