I have not been using this service at all for the past three years, and was confident I had switched my auto-renewal to OFF, but it seems that for some reason this setting was reversed or never took effect properly. I have been subject to erroneous unauthorized billing and would like it reversed.

I see that the auto-renewal was turned on, which is why your domain connection was renewed for another year.
You’ve already canceled the subscription. I’ve already issued a refund. You can see the refund receipt at https://wordpress.com/me/billing
