I purchased barrowmassage.com through domain.com and they gave me the option to use wordpress to build my website. When I try to manage the site through their window, it asks me to login to wordpress but it constantly tells me I have the wrong password. When I use the confirmation email to gain access to my account, when I try to build a site through wordpress, it wants me to buy a plan but I’ve already purchased a plan for wordpress through domain.com Some help would greatly be appreciated

    Self-declared URL: barrowmassage

    Hi there,

Apologies, but we can’t help with your issue directly because we don’t host barrowmassage.com on our WordPress.com managed hosting.

To explain, we are a fully managed hosting provider and use a custom server environment that is optimized for WordPress, provides built-in security and performance improvements, as well as in-house support for your site questions. You can learn more about the performance and security benefits of our managed hosting here: https://wordpress.com/hosting/

Because of the way we’ve optimized our service, we also use a customized version of WordPress that is different (under the hood) from what you use at Domain.com Hosting. As a result, we do not have access to your site and are not familiar with the source of your issue. Specifically we use a custom login system on WordPress.com for enhanced security, and because of this our procedures for regaining account access do not work on sites hosted with other providers.

The good news is that as long as you have access to the server control panel through Domain.com Hosting, it is always possible to regain access to your self-hosted WordPress site. This WordPress.org support article will walk you through it: https://wordpress.org/support/article/resetting-your-password/

You can ask Domain.com Hosting for direct assistance in completing the steps in that article; they would be in the best position to help.

when I try to build a site through wordpress, it wants me to buy a plan but I’ve already purchased a plan for wordpress through domain.com Some help would greatly be appreciated

Because we are not connected to barrowmassage.com, any upgrade offers you may have seen are related to the fact that we thought you might be starting a new site with us. However, after you have restored your site at Domain.com Hosting to normal working order, you are welcome to migrate your site to our WordPress.com managed hosting by using this plugin. We have built in support so if you were to have an issue like this in the future (or any questions about your site in general) we will be happy to assist you.
