    I started my website a year ago, and I recently received a letter in the mail saying that if I wanted to continue my website, I could renew, but if I chose not to renew, my website would be determined. I chose not to renew, yet, I was still charged the renewal rate in my banking account and my website still exists. I was wondering if there was a way you could help me fix this? I would like to be refunded because I did not wish to renew.

    That site is not on our WordPress.COM servers. You are posting to the wrong support forum to get support for it. Also be aware of who the web host is for your site and contact them directly for any hosting issues.

    This is wordpress.COM support. We do not provide support for local installs of wordpress.ORG software, or for wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page.

    WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.     The account you are logged in to hasn’t purchase any upgrades:

    https://wordpress.com/me/purchases

    As @timethief hightlighted, missbridie.com is a self hosted WordPress.org site rather than a WordPress.com site. The key differences between the two are explained here:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

    missbridie.com is connected to your WordPress.com account by the Jetpack plugin but the site itself is not hosted by us.

    Please contact the company that send you the letter directly. They should be able to provide you with more information about why you were charged for the renewal.
