Greetings: I did not intend to renew my annual subscription to WordPress and was billed $300 yesterday for said renewal. May I cancel without penalty?

I would be happy to assist you in cancelling and refunding your purchase. However, the upgrade that was purchased is not associated with the account you contacted us from. To confirm ownership, post in this thread under the username/account that purchased the upgrade. Then, I can look into refunding the subscription purchase.

I have submitted a (friendly) dispute through my bank to more expediently resolve the issue.

It might be a good idea to cancel the dispute and log in via the correct account so staff can assist you. From previous threads that I have seen in this forum a dispute will not speed up a refund, but make it far more difficult. -
@themagicrobot is right – a dispute can last for up to 75 days whereas I can issue a refund today and it will post to your statement within 7-10 days.
Let me know if you cancel the dispute.
