Hi, please can you advise me on closing my account with immediate effect? I am trying to do this but it is saying I don’t have any account yet I’ve been billed £15.00.

This typically happens when you have two or more wordpress.com accounts. To find out what that charge is about go to https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/.

I’m not seeing any upgrades associated with the WordPress.com user account you are posting from. This typically happens when you’ve ended up with a second WordPress.com user account and that second account is the one that owns the upgrade. You’ll need to log into THAT account in order to make any changes.
If you do not have access to that second account, here are a few options:
