Billing for something I did not buy

  Even though I did not give my credit card information and I did not purchase anything, yesterday 26 dollars​ were taken from my credit card under the title WORDPRESS AFVNLJKUGX SAN FRANCISCOUS. How can I get a refund for something I did not order in the first place?

  I would be happy to assist you in cancelling and refunding your purchase. However, the upgrade that was purchased is not associated with the account you contacted us from. To confirm ownership, post in this thread under the username/account that purchased the upgrade. Then, I can look into refunding the subscription purchase.

  Hi,
  I registered my domain a year ago and now I just got a receipt that thanks for the renewal and after that an e-mail that told me to renew my domain address. Even though it was just automatically paid. I did not remember to agree to an automatic payment, so that was a surprise but also the fact that the renewal notice e-mail shows that it was not paid.

Click this Add new topic link and start your own thread https://en.forums.wordpress.com/?new=1 Be sure to include the URL of the domain and site in question and the username account that registered it and purchased any upgrades for it when you do that.

  Hello, thank you. I checked that website, but it is not telling me the account that the charge was made for. I am assuming that it might be for my former work blog called cevdeterek.com, but I don’t know the login details for that account since I am not working with them anymore. I have contacted my former boss to check it for me but I think he is busy and is not responding.

  Hi there,

  We use Stripe as our payment processor, so you can find a unique code for the transaction on your bank or credit card statement, which you can provide us as proof of ownership.

  So, if you can look and find that code and provide it to us, we’ll be able to get you back into your account so that you can cancel the domain and receive a refund. I would try to touch base with your former boss first, especially if they are still using the domain for their company. Hopefully, they would be willing to transfer ownership over from yourself to them so they can handle billing moving forward.
