BILLING OPTIONS FOR ASSOCIATION WEBSITE
-
This website is not established yet, but our intention is to use WP for our complete domain & hosting platform.
Here’s the ‘issue’. When it comes to billing, there is only credit card or pay pal options. The website we hope to set up will be for our property owner’s association. Consequently, the funds don’t belong to an individual, but to a community. Likewise, there is no credit card attached to the checking account. Is there a way that invoicing for our intended site can be deducted from the association bank account via auto-payment (or something like that)? The inability to do so could be deal-breaker. -
Hi there,
We do not offer a way to upgrade without attaching a card to the account, but you are welcome to create a “master account” that everyone in the organization can share (while also maintaining their own individual accounts) and purchase your upgrades under that master account.
However we do not have a way to accept paper checks as payment. You can make purchases on WordPress.com using any major credit card (or bank ATM card) with a Visa or Mastercard logo.
In addition to that you can pay with funds from a PayPal account, so one option is to start an account for your organization and add funds to it for the purposes of upgrading your site. Another option is to use a “pre-paid credit card” instead of a card tied to a specific person or bank account.
More info on the payments we accept here: https://wordpress.com/support/payment/
