Billing problem
-
Hello,
You can probably see from my history that I’m not using this account much. I’d mostly forgotten about it until recently. I did not know I was set up with a premium account, and I certainly had NO CLUE that it was set up on auto renew.
Which it did. Christmas week. Overdrawing my account (thanks for that).
It renewed a month before the anniversary of my original purchase, which is weird. And, when I tried to request a cancellation/refund (less than 3 days from the transaction), I received a message that I wasn’t in the 30 day window.
I’m exhausted and disappointed. Please send me my refund. It might cover my overdraft fees.
Thanks,

Hey there,
I am more than happy to refund your recent auto-renew transaction.
I wanted to make certain that it’s all right with you that when I do, your custom domain name, sintatrathehusky.com, will expire on January 21, 2015. As long as losing the domain is a-ok with you, I can go ahead and make the full refund.
If you’d like to keep the domain name (you don’t even have to use it here…you can use it on a site you host elsewhere), I can refund you all but the $18 for the domain registration.
Either way, I can take action as soon as I hear back from you. In the meantime, I see that you haven’t yet turned off auto-renew for your site. I’ve taken the liberty to do that for you, since it sounds as if you don’t need/want it. Let me know.
Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.

Thanks so much for your quick response!
Yes, I’d like the refund of the $99 fee for the premium account (Paypal transaction ID #3H026773K08787915). And thank you for taking me off of auto renew.
However, I don’t see how I’d lose the domain, as I was also billed $26 as an annual registration fee for sinatrathehusky.com, over and above the $99 premium account fee. Perhaps this should have only been $18?
Thank you again for helping me sort through all of this. The transaction details for the $26 charge are listed below:

You did indeed have the two different purchases! I have gone ahead and cancelled the WordPress.com premium and have refunded you the $99. Depending on your band and their policies you should see your refund appear in the next few days to few weeks.
Sorry for the delay!

No worries on any delays – this was a terrible time of year to have billing problems. I’m super impressed with how quickly everything was cleared up. Many thanks to everyone who helped over the holiday weekend!
When I get around to doing something with the site, I’ll definitely stick with WordPress.
Thanks again!

Thanks so much for your kind words! Glad to hear that we were able to impress.
I hope you have a great week and a Happy New Year. :)
