    I have a few services that I paid for that I am not sure that I need. I would like to be able to communicate with someone about this, is there anyone, or any way, that I can speak to someone?

    It has to do with domain registration – I am apparently paying for domain registration at both WordPress.com AND Dreamhost.com for the same domain name, and the domain is actually registered at Dreamhost.

    And it seems that mapping my domain from Dreamhost to WordPress.com is free, yet I’m being billed.

    If you could help me clear this up it would be much appreciated.

    I think what you do not understand is that you purchased the domain name at dreamhost, and then you purchased a domain mapping upgrade from WordPress.COM. Well that’s required to use the domain name to map from your http://faithdesignstudio.wordpress.com/ URL to the domain URL.

    WordPress.com does not accept domain transfers but mapping an existing domain is possible.

    Domain mapping of an existing domain URL that you already own and purchased elsewhere is not done free of charge. You will have to renew the domain name purchase where you made it and the domain mapping purchase here every year.

    Mapping an existing domain costs $13. annually. In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com subdomain blog to map from and it does not matter what that underlying .wordpress.com URL is. It does not have to match the domain URL. If you have registered a .wordpress.com blog you log in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchase a domain name by purchasing an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade for the blog.

    Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades is where you do the primary blog set up knowing it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.

    All that changes when you are domain mapping is the URL and nothing else. The content stays exactly where it is. Payment methods are found at http://en.support.wordpress.com/payment/

    If you succeed at purchasing the domain mapping upgrade it will be reflected at these two spots:
    Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/

    Dashboard > Store > Billing History
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/billing-history/

    There is no primary domain set for faithdesignstudio.wordpress.com. This means that although faithdesignstudio.com will forward to the site, faithdesignstudio.com will appear in the browser address bar.     There is no phone support here. I believe I provided all the information your require above. All you have left to do is to set the primary domain.     Hi there,

    Please note that @timethief is correct. Domains mostly need two things: a registration and a host for a site to remain up. Your domain: faithdesignstudio.com is registered with Dreamhost. They may provide free hosting with the registration, but that would mean you would have to host your site with them. Currently, you are hosting your site with us at WordPress.com. That means you would have to purchase hosting through us which is the domain mapping ($13/year).

    You’ll see that your domain registrar is Dreamhost and your nameservers are set to us at:
