Billing Refund for Website and Domain Hosting

Hi, Ive recently cancelled my subscription with wordpres however I’ve made a mistake as I am setting my website with different providers. I’ve cancelled my subsciption and was indecated that I’m getting my refund. However from I’ve seen I got charged an extra $79! Why was there an charge and not a refund??
