Binding/lock-in period and penalties with the priced plans

    Hello,

    I came across some threads where people paid for a personal plan for their websites with WordPress and decided to move out after a couple of months but they were charged heftily, either by quoting charges for domain registration(which comes with the plan itself) or some early exit penalty.
    Is this true? What if you host your site but are either unsatisfied with the output or simply want to move to another provider?

  • Hi @beingkinetic, domain costs are included the first year. Given that the domain is essentially “locked in” a few days after registration (or immediately after a transfer) we are not able to refund domain costs after that, though users are more than welcome to use the registered domain with another provider.

    Aside from domain costs, everything is fully refundable within 30 days of purchase.
