Bing and Yahoo recognize site, Google doesn't

  I am having a problem getting Google to even acknowledge that my site exists. It’s been up about 7 weeks. I have had another thread going to try to diagnose it, but it has kind of come up against a dead end, so I thought I’d start a new thread to see if anyone else has experienced anything like this.

  Here is what I have done:

  1) The site has been verified using Google Webmaster Tools

  2) Google Webmaster Tools crawl statistics indicate that the Googlebots have been scanning the site for about 7 weeks

  3) Google’s crawl statistics indicate 0 errors detected in crawling the site

  4) Using Google’s recommended method of querying whether or not Google recognizes that the site exists – searching the term site:seeingtheforest.org – Google does not recognize that the site exists

  5) Searching the term “seeing the forest” with or without quotes confirms that Google doesn’t see the site, as it returns no results no matter how deeply you search

  6) On Bing and Yahoo, the site has not been verified

  7) On Bing and Yahoo, searching the term site:seeingtheforest.org returns the results of every page on the site

  8) On Bing and Yahoo, a search for the term “seeing the forest” with or without quotes returns the site as the second result, lower only seeingtheforest.com, which has evidently been around for several years.

  This seems unusual. I have used WordPress to create several other similar sites, and they are all fully searchable on Google.

  Any suggestions?

  Some of your content seems the same as content found on this site:

  Seeing the Forest

  Google is sometimes ruthless about deciding that site A is the original, and site B is a copy and therefore not listed. This is more of a problem if your site has very few pages and not much text. Possible solutions:

  – Remove duplicate content

  – Add so much fresh content that the duplicate content doesn’t weigh so heavily against you.

  I’m not an expert, so please do seek other opinions.
