Bit worried my whole site is on the Choco theme but it doesn't show in gallery!
-
i have spent days now re-designing my wordpress site to match the theme.
its a great theme its called Choco i was looking in the theme galleries via
my dashboard / appearances and noticed in all the themes choco no longer exists.i’m now worried does this mean if i change my theme to see how others look
when i want to go back to Choco it’s going to have been deleted or erased?which brings me to my next question say i have a blog for a year or more
styled and themed everything perfectly do you just delete themes at random?
will i wake up one morning and find my theme completely vanished???as a safeguard i’ve downloaded and burned to disc the Choco theme from wordpress.org but i don’t have my own self hosted blog i use wordpress.com.
I’d like to know your policy on themes that disappear from the themes page in my dashboard.
if Choco theme disappears from your site what do i do? it’s under gpl and i have it backed up but this is no good to me if i can’t re-install it on WordPress.com.
Can i get some information on this please

just an update before people say i’ve checked wordpress.com themes section and it still is listed there. i’m not on about going to wordpress.com themes i’m talking about doing it via the wordpress dashboard :D just so you know.

You have nothing to worry about. As long as your theme is active, you won’t be able to see it in the available themes grid, because it’s already active. :)
We like to have as many themes as possible, so we only remove themes under extraneous circumstances, and when we do, we typically work hard to design a similar theme before replacing it.

thanks for the quick reply i had an idea it was because of it already being activated.
but was a little worried to try and test that theory out just incase my theme went poof!again thanks for the peace of mind.
