Below are the only accepted means of payment.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/payment/WordPress.com uses PayPal as the payment processor, and as such, can only accept payment from countries they support: https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/
If for whatever reason, they have chosen to block payment from your country, you will not be able to purchase an upgrade here unless you have a source of payment outside of your country. Note: You can buy a prepaid credit card from an approved country.
In addition to major credit cards Mastercard, VISA, American Express, Discover, and PayPal https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/ WordPress.com can accept echecks and some debit cards.
The debit card must have a VISA or Mastercard symbol on it, and should work just like a credit card when selecting the VISA or Mastercard option on the payment form, even though it’s a debit card.
More about echecks here:

Hello wordpress team!
It would be nice to somehow have the user effect a micropayment by bitcoin, for example, pay some satoshis to sign up and to post comments. Thus the micropayment system could work as a means of verifying that the user isn’t a bot.I would like to develop a plugin to install an API Blockchain, or BitPay, on wordpress register page to filter new users. An API system can work as a filter to select only bitcoiners to my wordpress. For example: pay only 0.001 BTC to sign up, also, pay only 0.000001 BTC to post a comment.
But there is a problem, my theme by default uses the native WordPress user functionality, so there are no existing options in WordPress itself to charge users to register at all.
Please do not forget, the micropayment by bitcoin is the way to prevent spam and to develop wordpress platforms.
The bitcoin micropayment system is certainly an idea that should be considered by the WordPress team.
Respectfully,

Be aware the ability to make payments via bitcoin was discontinued. See the Staff response here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/disappointed-that-payment-in-bitcoin-is-canceled?replies=3#post-2187429@galois
Hope you have a lovely weekend too. -

WordPress.com blogs cannot be equipped for eCommerce transactions unless they have the $299. per year annually renewable Business upgrade. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/ecommerce-is-now-available-on-wordpresscom?replies=1
See here for ecommerce details http://en.support.wordpress.com/ecommerce/Otherwise, provided you are selling only what you yourself make or a service that you personally provide you have two options.
(1) Know that the only instructions that will work for posting a PayPal donation button on a WordPress.com blog are found here http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/(2) If you set up an Ecommerce site somewhere else online you can create a custom menu http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/ and include a custom link to that site in it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-custom-links
Some bloggers create a contact form and after the people have made a PayPal donation they provide the link to a private page for downloading files. Maybe that will work for you.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-visibility/The only advertising program at WordPress.com is called WordAds and it’s for blogs on their own domains.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/
http://en.wordpress.com/apply-for-wordads/Advertising outside of WordAds at WordPress.com is not allowed.
http://support.wordpress.com/advertising/ Here’s what gets a blog suspended:

http://en.support.wordpress.com/affiliate-links/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/suspended-blogs/
http://en.wordpress.com/tos/1. WordPress.com allows bloggers to insert text affiliate links within post and page content to most third-party affiliate programs, provided they are not the primary content of the site in question.
2. Image affiliate links in posts and pages and any banners, affiliate links in sidebar or footer widget areas, are still considered to be advertising and are not allowed on WordPress.com blogs.
NOTE: Aside from the plugins I linked to for Ecommerce blogs with the Business upgrade only, there is no FTP access and no blogger installed plugin capability on any free hosted WordPress.COM blogs, and there is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/A self-hosted WordPress.ORG site is an alternative that may suit you. WordPress.org offers free software that you can install on a web server. You can upload and install themes and plugins, run ads, conduct ecommerce and edit the database. Read the differences here. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ and get web hosting here http://wordpress.org/hosting

@lars79 – I would never pay to leave a comment on your site, nor would I bother to visit your site ever again – I don’t have a bitcoin thing and it sounds like a scam to me charging someone to leave a comment
since you don’t have a link to a valid site, I can only assume you are not hosted on WordPress.COM which makes your comments mostly irrelevant anyway
-
@timethief, forgive me, I’m talking about wordpress.org many thanks for your help.
@auxclass, It would be important to consider the register page.
Would you pay 0.0000001 BTC to sign up in a blog?
-
I’m talking about wordpress.org
Ok. Then, you are in the wrong forum. This forum is only for blogs/sites hosted by WordPress.com
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and different http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/And you should ask in the WordPress.org forum.

Ok galois, but this support works for both segments, “WordPress.com and WordPress.org.” A member replied,
