Bitcoins Accepted Here Donation Button
-
Since we’re not allowed to upload plugins, how about providing for us a generic widget into which we could insert our necessities, allowing us to easily support the ‘new’ decentralized currency by offering up to our reader a: Bitcoins Accepted Here, donation button with spiffy logo of choice.
-
That’s an interesting notion but why would I donate to a blog that’s provided free of charge and being free hosted?
-
Why indeed? To spread the good news that is about to break us ‘All’ out of jail!
Peace, Best Wishes and Hope

What’s stopping you from creating the widget right now? Just write it as a text widget and link it to your Bitcoin wallet and put it in your sidebar. Bitcoin is over $500 today.

Yes I saw that!
It’s not an expression of Bitcoin value, only the diminishing worthlessness of the $ as it continues to plummet. That’s what you get from: ‘freedom of the press.’
I’ve been trying to find a good example of how that should be done.
In Bitcoins we trust!
-
I’m really not following you on that whole “freedom of the press” thing.
Diminishing worthlessness means increasing worth. You’re welcome, from a member of the press.

You mean Disneyland….?
Still searching on how I might pair my Bitcoin wallet to wordpress.com blog so as to proudly fly the, stateless, Bitcoin flag.
Most of the script out there requires the implementation of Java, which is a no no here.
Surely there must be an HTML solution that doesn’t look so Neanderthal as pasting your public wallet ID and QR image into the sidebar via the text widget.
I did find this for Blockchain account:
http://blockchain.info/api/api_receive
But it doesn’t provide detailed instructions on how to properly include it. Buy the looks of it, it too looks like bits and pieces of java script.

You create an HTML link to your Bitcoin Wallet. Or just put the address in the text widget.
