Bizzarre Credit Card Charges

I signed up with WordPress on Oct 7th and I upgrade for Premium and paid with my Credit Card MC $99.00 which is going to be charge on Oct 24th…The most strange is that My American Express Card had been charge with $1.00….Where is this come from??…Why are you charging two different credit Cards???
I’ve trying to get in contact with someone in Billing Department but there’s not number nor email that I can contact…..Is this normal for WordPress???
Please I need an answer about this discrepancy

Did you give the Amex number maybe at the start of the trial then pay with the MC later?
I think I saw one of the staff say that they verify the credit card with a $1.00 charge which should also have been refunded – but I have also seen the refunds take more time than getting the money from your account –
@TT has flagged this for the staff to help and they have a good record of making sure you are not charged for something you did not purchase or want

Auxclass is remembering correctly here. We authorize the card with a $1 charge that then gets refunded. Usually this happens very quickly, but every once in a while it lingers longer than expected.
Your card will be charged for the full amount on October 21.

Well..thanks all of you for your messages and sorry for my belated response…Well I haven’t received the refund yet on my Amex…But yes when I was buying the premium membership I put my Amex, but the system took a whiiiiiileeeeee to process the payment, so I cancelled and tried with my MC which it was faster …and in my payment history it’s only shows one CC and it’s my MC
I just want to make sure that one CC is on file and not two ( you know to avoid double charges)

Currently I only see one subscription on your account, which means one credit card. You can update this card through My Upgrades to make sure its the correct one:

Thanks y’all for your response…I only have one subscription..the thing is when I put my Amex the system was taking too long to respond and I cancel the transaction and then I put my MC…that’s what I did…:-(

I understand. Since there is only one subscription, we only have one card filed to be charged. Any updates replaces the old one, it doesn’t add a second one.
