  Why is my background black on my post? How do I fix it?
  How can I change the size of the letters.

  Aloha epistlesfromengland, It looks like the post format for that post was set as Aside instead of Standard like the other ones.

  You can edit the post, then in the left column, you should see the Post Format module. Here you can change your post to the standard format and click Update to save the new setting.

  After you do that, does your post look like the others?
