Black bar in my featured images – Canard Theme

    Hi Everyone,

    I’m a complete beginner and don’t know how to code, unfortunately.

    When I set a featured image for my post the thumbnail shows up and then has a black bar under it that messes with the whole homepage.

    Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Hi Francisco,

    I guess that you’re referring to the black bars on both sides of the image, is that right?
    The featured image you uploaded to this post, is in vertical position. If it was to fill in the whole area for the featured image it would need to be zoomed in and, not only you would see just a part of the image, it would also have poor quality.

    If you check the info on Canard, you’ll see that Featured Images are 1920 wide by 768 high. Try to upload images with the same ratio and it should look fine :)
