black box issue in text

Hi, I am having a lot of trouble the last couple of times I have tried to write a blog post. It appears that some weird formatting issue has come up. After a certain point, it covers the rest (or half) of my blog text with a black box. I can see the words behind the black box but I’ve had to individually remove the background of black. Can anyone explain why I am encountering this issue?

I am having the same issue. How did you remove the black background? I find this very annoying. It just started a few days ago when I began to work on a new draft of the latest post.

Well I still can’t get rid of it but if you go to preview it disappears. If you need to edit further it’s still there in edit mode. It’s absolutely annoying. So many glitchy issues.

I saw the same thing. But, I don’t think you can edit in preview mode. And I’m not done editing when it shows up. I haven’t gotten to post in a month or two, so am eager to get back to it. This problem didn’t happen earlier. I hope there is a solution!

Yes. You are correct, You can’t edit in preview mode. But I was saying that you can close the preview and continue to edit with the stupid black box, but it’s extremely difficult, glitchy and annoying. At least it doesn’t show up when you publish it. I wish they would fix it.

The black area showing up on the editor is a bug and our developers are working to fix it. In the meantime, you can try the following workarounds:
* If you’re using Safari, please see if an update is available and update Safari to the latest version.
* If updating to the latest version doesn’t solve the issue, please try using a different browser temporarily until the issue is fixed. You can try using Firefox or Chrome.Hope that helps.
