BLACK DRAFT PAGE, EXCEPT PHOTOS/TITLE

When I edit a post or make new post, only in block editor, the page is black (no letters visible, form example at post Monotheism in Christology), or has a black film/background through which black text is barely visible through a dark black tint page-except for photos and title block (for example on post The Hebrew Name of Jesus).
I have been circumventing problem by going to Classic Editor. However, when I tried a new draft post for bjlematty.WordPress.com in classical editor, was unable next day to recover latest edited version.
This block editor black out is occurring on a Chrome browser, for all sites in my WordPress.com account.

Hi @bjlematty, regarding the dark overlay thing, we’ve seen a few reports of this recently. Our developers have been working to fix it, and it should be resolved soon.
Since this has only affected certain browsers, and not so many cases in Chrome, can you let us know what Chrome version you’re using and on what operating system?
We’ll make note of that, and then update you here when the resolution is ready.
Regarding the other issue, though:

This isn’t part of the recent bug, and we’d like to help you sort this part out. Is there any change you had multiple copies of the editor open for that post (perhaps some with the dark overlay that could have overwritten your changes?) And, have you checked your post revisions to see if your other version is there?
