Black-LetterHead – possible to remove title?
-
Hello everyone,
On my blog, luxzakari.wordpress.com, there is a title–“lux zakari”–floating above the custom header — is it possible to get rid of this?
Thank you!

I see that I can remove it if I delete the blog’s title at General–>Settings, but now I have a titleless blog! I just wanted the blog title to not show up on the page at the top. Any ideas?

It would require experience editing CSS and the paid CSS upgrade.

Without the CSS upgrade, you can mask the title by putting this in a text widget:
<div style="position:absolute;width:100%;top:-290px;left:0;height:80px;background:#161410;"> </div> -

You’re welcome.
(In case you’re not familiar with html, this code places a strip across the title&tagline area, in the color of the background of the theme.)

Yes, I apologize for the confusion between ChaoticSoul vs. Black-LetterHead — I was trying different formats and likely perplexed myself!

Hello….. i dont get it. I’m very new to this. How do you remove the ghostlike blog title for Black-Letterhead? What do you do with this link ? div style=”position:absolute;width:100%;top:-290px;left:0;height:80px;background:#161410;”>
</div> where does this go? How does this remove the blog title? Thanks, Rick -
@ cubaconleche
The code is custom made for CahoticSoul, not for Black-LetterHead.
Yours is a different problem anyway: much simpler to correct. Go to Appearance —> Custom Header —> choose Hide Text —> Save Changes. Voila! The ghost -like title has been exorcised!! -
