black message overlay

  I recently changed my primary domain to a CNAME forwarded domain I own, however the black notification screen from the old primary domain is still displayed.
  I have waited for more than 72 hours but there ha been no update.

  The following message appears on an overlay on my blog. I have changed my primary domain to a new name (blunose.alkalyn.com) and attempted to cancel the previous URL b(lunose.com). I have had a receipt for the $13.00 but as yet no change or contact from staff.

  Now five days since I made the changes, but no joy.

  Does the old URL need to be cancelled before the message overlays disappear. I was unsuccessful first time round when I tried to cancel the domain name.

  Hi blunose,

  Sorry for the troubles. Yes, the expired domain does need to removed from the WordPress blog to remove the black overlay, even with another domain attached.

  I’ve removed the expired domain subscriptions for blunose.com from the blog’s account and the site will now function appropriately with the domain blunose.alkalyn.com.
