Black screen on second half of draft (and posted) post pages.
-
For the past two days there is a black layer that covers my post pages. It seems to start after the initial image and covers everything afterwards. I can still see the text and images underneath and can actually still edit it. It isn’t there in preview and the already published posts are fine. But this makes creating a new post or editing a draft post almost impossible. I can’t see where I can correct this on my site. Don’t know if this is a WordPress issue? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
The site I need help with is meiphotoimages.wordpress.com.

Hi there,
I opened several of your posts in the editor and I couldn’t replicate that issue.
Please clear your browser’s cache and see if that resolves the issue.

I had previously cleared history and cache many times with no success. But I may have figured out the issue. The problem might be my dated operation system and browser? :( Anyhow, thank you so much for replying to my query so fast, and maybe this will help anyone else who might experience a similar problem. Thank you again!

I am using Safari 11.1.2, which was working fine until recently. Has WP changed something?
-
The most common issue is an older, unsupported operating system or using an out-of-date browser than a specific change to WordPress itself.
That’s quite an old version of Safari (released July 2018) Can you try upgrading to the newest version (14.1.1) and seeing if you still see the same issue?
Can you let us know what operating system (and version) you’re on as well?
Thanks!

Black over the bottom portion of a draft. VERY frustrating because I cannot write a post!!
-
I should have said: MacOS Big Sur 11.1. I have not written a post since March. It was not doing this then.
Apologies for multiple posts here. -
Thanks @candymum12 for the additional info!
Are you able to update to the newest version of Safari (14.1.1) and if so does the issue go away?
-
I am on a macbook running BigSur and Safari 14.0.2, and my computer says this IS the most updated version.
-
Hi @candymum12,
Safari was updated with MacOS Big Sur 11.3 – so, in order to update Safari, (14.1.1) you’ll need to update your OS to at least 11.3 (most recent version is 11.4).

Just dug deeper. I cannot install BIg Sur 14.4. It hangs up, and forums warn that macbooks from my era (mid 2014) have been bricked by this update. Can’t wordpress solve this? I am paying for the service that will not allow me to write posts on my blog. I am not getting a new computer until very late 2021, so that is not a solution.
