Black squares appearing on bottom of blog post images
-
I’m trying to create a blog page for my WordPress site. The page is looking good in edit mode, but then when I preview, it has these weird black boxes that are appended to the bottoms of the images. I don’t think there is anything wrong with the image files I uploaded. I tried a free image from Pexel just to test and it has the same issue. Any ideas? I have no idea how to fix this.

Hi @leothehorse, I’m wondering if it’s a conflict with your theme, since it’s not really designed for block-based pages like this.
Canard is a bit older and has these setup instructions, so if you were going for the look of its demo, here’s how to get that started:

Yeah, you’re right! That did it. It seems to be completely a theme issue. Thanks for the insight on that. I thought it was something I was doing wrong, and I don’t think I ever would’ve figured that out!
