Blank Media Library page on clean install
-
Hey everyone!
I’ve just did a clean reinstall of WP on a client’s machine after he decided to do a complete redesign of the site. I’ve installed 4.9.8, straight from the official download page, I’ve made a new DB especially for it and the installation was complete without any errors.
The problem is the following – when I open the Media Library, there is literally nothing on the page except the h1, the add new button and ‘Thank you for creating with WordPress.’ in the footer. When I click on add new, I’m taken to the uploader, where I can upload the image witch afterwards appears in the wp-content/uploads and in the DB. I can access the image via URL. However, it does not appear in the Library. The site is running on MySQL 5.6.4 and PHP 7.2
Things I’ve tried:
1) Toggling ‘Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders’
2) Changing file permissions of the wp-content to 777 (currently set to 755)
3) Using FTP-to-Media plugins
4) Another clean reinstallNone of these have helped, and I really can’t think of anything else to try :/
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Sorry about that.
In general, I’m well aware of the difference, but since I myself haven’t posted before on either of the forums I completely failed to realize that I went to .com by mistake.By the time I realized it, it was already too late – the best I could do was mark the question “as not a support question”. As per forum policy, I leave it do the discretion of the moderators to delete this.
Again, I’m sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused to the community.
